Both Dengue and Malaria are mosquito-borne diseases common in tropical regions like India. Early detection and preventive care can save lives.
🦟 Dengue
Symptoms:
Sudden high fever
Severe headache
Pain behind the eyes
Joint and muscle pain (“breakbone fever”)
Skin rashes
Nausea, vomiting, and fatigue
In severe cases: bleeding gums, nosebleeds, or difficulty breathing
Prevention:
Use mosquito repellents and wear full-sleeved clothing
Sleep under mosquito nets, especially during the day (Aedes mosquitoes bite in the daytime)
Remove stagnant water around homes (flower pots, buckets, old tires)
Keep doors and windows screened to prevent mosquito entry
🦟 Malaria
Symptoms:
High fever with chills and sweating
Headache
Muscle aches and fatigue
Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea
In severe cases: anemia, jaundice, seizures, or coma
Prevention:
Use insecticide-treated mosquito nets at night (Anopheles mosquitoes bite at night)
Apply mosquito repellents and wear protective clothing
Spray insecticides indoors and around stagnant water areas
Take preventive anti-malarial medicines if traveling to high-risk zones (as advised by a doctor)
